Our Kitsap Fire Fighters Benevolent Fund opened the application period for two scholarship opportunities today: one for our community members and one for our KFFBF members. Each are $500 awards. 

To apply, visit www.thewashboard.org and register your account. The deadline for applications is May 29, 2015.  Notification to the winners is anticipated to be June 8, 2015.

The Kitsap Firefighters Kitsap Firefighters Benevolent Fund Community Scholarship is open to high school seniors who live in Kitsap County. Other eligibility requirements include:  a minimum 3.0 GPA, a copy of an unofficial transcript, and one letter of recommendation. Applicants will need to answer a short essay question. 

The Kitsap Firefighters Benevolent Fund Dependents Scholarship is open to dependents of KFFBF members (high school seniors or current college students). Other eligibility requirements include:  a minimum 3.0 GPA, a copy of an unofficial transcript, and one letter of recommendation. Applicants will need to answer a short essay question. 

Dependents of KFFBF members are not eligible to apply for the Community Scholarship.
